This Privacy Policy explains how Wei Wenxin ("Developer", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the AI ID Photo mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.

1. Information We Collect

We do NOT collect: your name, email address, phone number, location data, contacts, or any other personally identifiable information beyond what is listed above.

2. How We Use Your Photos

When you upload a photo, it is:

1. Compressed and resized on your device (512px for free users, 1024px for Pro users)
2. Transmitted via HTTPS to our secure backend server (hosted on Google Cloud Platform, Tokyo region)
3. Forwarded to Google's Gemini API for AI-powered ID photo generation
4. The generated result is returned to you and the original photo is immediately discarded

We do not store, log, or retain your photos on our servers. Photos exist in server memory only during the brief processing period (typically under 30 seconds).

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party services. Each service processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy:

By using this App, you acknowledge and consent to the transmission of your photos to Google's Gemini API for the purpose of AI-powered photo generation. Google processes this data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Security

• All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Our backend server runs on Google Cloud Run in the Tokyo region (asia-northeast1)
• No user photos or personal data are stored in our database
• API keys are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager, never in client code

5. Data Retention

• Photos: Not retained — processed in real time and immediately discarded
• Usage data: Stored on-device only; deleted when you uninstall the App
• Subscription data: Managed by Apple; follows Apple's data retention policies
• Ad data: Managed by Google AdMob; follows Google's data retention policies

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete your data: Since we do not store your photos or personal data on our servers, there is no server-side data to delete. Uninstalling the App removes all on-device data.
• Opt out of personalized ads: You can limit ad tracking in your device's Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
• Withdraw consent: You may stop using the App at any time.
• Request information: Contact us to inquire about how your data is handled.

7. Children's Privacy

This App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Regional Compliance

Japan (Act on Protection of Personal Information — APPI)

We treat facial photographs as sensitive personal information and process them only with your explicit consent (by uploading a photo). Photos are not stored or used for any purpose other than generating your ID photo.

South Korea (Personal Information Protection Act — PIPA)

Facial data is classified as personal information under PIPA. We process your photos solely for the purpose of generating ID photos, with your explicit consent provided through the act of uploading. We do not retain your photos after processing.

European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our legal basis for processing your photos is your explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by ceasing to use the App.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
